I started with GI Joes in 1964, and still have them. Got interested again when my son wanted the old Joes, so I started buying him new stuff. Started trying to scratch build 1873 carbines and stuff, then picked up Johnny West & Gen. Custer items and tried molding some of them. Really got the bug when SST started the CW line, then Dog Soldiers clinched it. I enjoy modifying the weapons to different models and to be as accurate as possible. BGT uniforms and equipment has really made this work, since I've got too many hobbies to take up sewing, too. I make full size leather items, including IWP holsters & belts for reenacting. Now I'm working on a series of real leather holsters for the different IW styles. Hope to start saddles soon for a complete (did I say that?) series of figures on the IWP cavalry, 1866 - 1890, and a Little Bighorn diorama. Oh yeah, then there's the John Wayne figures, Apollo astronauts, etc., etc.
